Who is responsible

This site is operated by The Stain Library. You can contact us at support@thestainlibrary.com.

What this site collects

The public Stain Finder records aggregate search-demand data: the selected stain, selected material, result coverage and date. It is designed not to store a visitor name, email address, account identifier, cookie identifier or IP address in the site database. This helps us decide what to research next.

Contacting us

If you email us, your email provider and mailbox will process the information you choose to send so we can reply. Do not send sensitive information you do not want us to receive.

Analytics and retention

The built-in metrics are first-party daily totals for page views, finder searches and outbound product clicks. They do not use advertising cookies. Aggregate analytics are retained while useful for operating and improving the library. Hosting providers may keep their own server logs; ask the host for its policy.

Your rights

Depending on where you are, you may have rights to ask about, correct, erase, restrict or object to processing of your personal data. Contact us at the address above. This notice should be reviewed with a qualified privacy adviser before launch if your data collection, advertising or location changes.
