Start with the least aggressive route
Begin with washing-up liquid and a soft sponge on the cool hob. Use only a maker-approved hob scraper and cleaner for burnt residue, and avoid oven spray, stain remover, steam and abrasive pads.
Judge only when dry
A remaining patch may be residue, pigment, dye loss, finish change or material damage. Stop if a hidden test changes colour, gloss, texture, shape or adhesion.
